Letter of Assurance?

Your file must be very strong, but honestly LOAs don't even really matter. All you want is an appointment in the long run. Specifically, your Whole Candidate Score (WCS), the number your file is given, will be equal to or higher what the Admissions committee determined as the cutoff score that year for LOAs, if I remember that process correctly.

I recall someone tossing out there that this past year the test scores required were an SAT of 2100 and ACT of 32. But that might not be entirely accurate, as I can't find the original thread, but it seems reasonable.

Those requirements are not accurate; I received an LOA back in July and I only had an SAT score of 2000 and an ACT score of 30.

LOA determination may not be based on scores alone. Candidates with mediocre scores but outstanding EC's and athletics can also receive an LOA.
