Compression Shorts

Compression shorts are recommended for BEAST. I realize they need to be black, but I also heard with no markings?

I have been looking at different brands just to get an idea such as Nike or UnderArmour and all of the brands have they logo on the leg. Is this a big deal?
 
I doubt it but you can always color the symbol in with black sharpie.
 
It's under AR 670-1 that compression shorts/socks cannot have visible logos when worm with the IPFU. Sharpies work too, but I bought mine from an online company that sells logo free ones, Roadrunner Sports.
 
They're almost exactly the same inside out. Especially if you pull off the tag.
 
Yes those are them. I'm satisfied with them, they're not as thick as other types so they're more comfortable to run long distance in.
 
If you go for a visit to west point you can probably also get them at the PX. I know the PX/Clothing and Sales at Hood sells them without logos.
 
So I found some compression shorts. Which are better, ones that are longer or shorter? I found some that go to around my knee and some that look they are like boxer briefs.
