What type of comments should the candidate note on the CFA?

Why would you need to make any comment. Unless you think the proctor who was administering the test was incapable or penalized you for something you didn't think was fair. Normally, there's nothing to write in on the CFA.

I commented on the pretty high wind speeds from that day as they might've affected my outdoor mile-run a bit. I didn't make a huge deal out of it, but it probably did hurt me about 20 seconds. The coach commented about the wind, I said it probably hurt me a bit, but not too much as I still gave it my all.

Yeah I had the flu when i took my CFA - i couldnt get a reschedule and it didnt seem like i would've recovered anytime soon, so I just put that in the comments.

If for any reason that youre dissatisfied with your score, just keep practicing and retake the CFA. You can't resubmit a new set of scores, but this way at least the scores will be ready if they ask you to retake it

Thats what im banking on right now, at least...

I thought we weren't supposed to take the CFA until at least the summer leading to your senior year?

The class of 2015's application deadline is this week. So a lot of candidates (like me) are just now doing their CFAs so they have the highest score they could've had, compared to scores that might've not been high enough the summer before our senior year.

I only decided to apply a month into my senior year (after I had my mind set on ROTC for 2 years), so I had a lot of catching up to do physically with other candidates who have wanted this for years.

CFA Re-Take Notification?

Would Admissions email me if I needed a re-take? Or only post it on my status page?

My DS hit "submit" rather than "save" and sent in his first try before his parents saw anything. He lucked out.

IF USAFA decided that they wanted you to retake the CFA, you would be contacted directly.

jetset15...daughter was asked to re-take her CFA. We first noticed on her application that it went from complete to incomplete and they added a CFA #2 to her required documents. A few days later, she received a letter in the mail.

(Happy to report that she improved tremendously on her weak area)

I think it is important to acknowledge this is a rarity. Candidates afforded this opportunity are seen as competitive by the AFA, with only the CFA as a minus.

It is NOT offered to everyone.
