Needless to say, there are a ton of still-hopefull candidates out there who are still itching to recieve their BFE in the mail  . Times ticking and, generally speaking, most candidates recieve their acceptance or...rejection letters before April 15th. The deadline for all candidates is tomorrow (March 1st). I'd like to start a thread for all of us hopefulls out there... Anyone else out there hauling butt to the mailbox everyday wondering where their BFE is?

Yes still out there..triple qualified and nominated...still praying and stalking the mailbox :frown:

I'm still waiting as well. I talked to my Regional Director last week and he said I was in good shape, and the biggest challenge is to wait. I'm taking that as a somewhat uplifting statement.

I never recieved and Q letters from them... all I got was one from DoDMERB saying I was qualified.

ALABAMA

Still waiting here in Alabama. 3 Q'd with 2 nominations.
Good luck to all out there. Until we hear, we will be stalking the mailman.

Waiting here in New Jersey 3Q'd with a nomination. I also spoke to my regional director and all he said was that I was in a smaller pool of candidates. I take that to be a positive statement. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Still waiting in Nebraska. As a Dad I am trying to figure out all the acronyms. We have our ( or rather my son has his LOL) 2 MOC nominations, passed DODMERB, and PT test. Is he 3Qed ? Also what is DS ? Maybe someone can help me out on these. Meanwhile I'll go check the mailbox.

DS means Dear Son and DD, obviously means Dear Daughter...I'm still trying to get these acronyms down....Good Luck, we are also still waiting to hear! Our ALO told us that California is the last state to be done as they have so many congressional/senatorial districts.....

Runninbob - what is an LOL? Did you mean LOA (letter of assurance)? If your son is scholastically qualified, then he is 3Q'd (physically, medically, and scholastically qualified).

Quick question: Did you receive a letter stating that you were 3 Qed? My son appears to be 3 Qed with a Senatorial nom, but we have never gotten a letter. We know that DodMerb found him "qualified," he has 1400 sat, over 4.0 weighted GPA, so he is probably scholastically qualified and he did well (mostly above average) on the CFA with maxing the pullups, and he is an Eagle Scout with lots of leadership positions. But not a peep from the usna.

grtkidmom, same here but not as big of an issue this year

Pennak, I have a 3.8 unweighted, 4.5 weighted, 1760 SAT, am also an Eagle and havent heard anything... I did above average on everything on the CFA, maxing out the pushups and crunchs. I recieved a letter from DoDMERB saying I was qualified, but, just like you, NEVER EVER EVER heard from USNA :unhappy: Im not sure how they send off Q letters, but we are definitely in the same boat. When did your son finish his application fully (CFA, nom, teacher emails, etc..)?

Its nice to see that I am not the only one attacking the mail man before he even gets to the box lol. I too am triple Q'd with a nom, nearly maxed out my CFA and im almost on a first name basis with the admissions guidance office but still no word. I might contact my regional director but i'm not sure that he would have information that the admissions guidance office wouldnt...? Anyways time to go check the mail, one of these days its going to be bill, bill, bill, NAVY!!! (for better or for worse)

I have never heard that California is the last state to be done...aw man. :frown:

Stalk my mailbox every day, still send in updated info frequently as well.

Positive Thinking - reread the post and think you're right, LOL :shake:

DS received a phone call from the area coordinator for USNA admissions to let him know he was 3Q'd but never received a letter notifying him.

Wow, Pieterm, your creds are impressive. Love your SAT and congrats on your Eagle! My DS finished all the requirements in December. Nom was Dec. 1, but just redid (2/14) the CFA to improve his score, but his earlier one was easily a "pass" Submitted his Eagle in mid-January (when he got the rank). Not a peep the whole time. I am sorta glad that my DS is not the only one in this boat. With your stats, your should be a prime candidate for the Academy. The CIS page shows a complete application. Just hope we didn't fall into some sorta of USNA black hole. have you applied for a NROTC scholarship? My DS is shooting for Marine Option

Hey, usnacandidate89: I can't speak for DS, who seems to be taking the waiting in stride, but it is killing me. It is frustrating to read that the Academy has contacted others re 3Q when we haven't heard a thing. Just got to be patient... Ps Did you apply for NROTC? If so, have you heard anything?
