Appointment rescinded?

Has anyone heard of someone getting their appointment rescinded for getting a D in an AP class during their second semester of senior year?

Comments?
 
My MALO told me that he had a candidate a few years ago who got an appointment taken away for a D and two C's. He said that as long as you dont get a D or an F you should be ok.
 
My MALO has yet to respond. Could you ask your's what happens if you only get 1 D?
 
My DS's final transcript won't be ready until after R-Day. I suspect many other new cadets will be in the same situation. Not sure if you would be asked to leave after R-Day? I can tell you first hand that both my wife and I had a come to Jesus meeting last week with him as senioritis has officially started. He thinks we are nuts...We believe we are good parents...well maybe both. Why work so hard to throw away a great lifelong opportunity? It is early in the semester...bring up the D to a C...and C to a B.
 
I wholeheartedly agree that working to bring up the grade should be step number one. It just worries me to no end... always the "what if"?

I responded to this in the other thread that you posted your concerns. Be patient and wait to hear from your MALO, because he/she is your direct link to USMA and can help to ease your concerns better than anything you'll get here :smile: Jake's MALO has had a candidate with an appointment revoked because of a D and two C's; that seems to answer your question but I think you would want to hear from an admissions liasion.
