Are MO in NROTC being issued MARPATs?
Also, what is the standard uniform/equiptment issue for MOs at most units?

And why do Naval Academy Midshipmen seem to earn more ribbons than NROTC Mids? NROTC uniforms don't look as sharp for some reason. Maybe I am crazy.

If ribbons are what you're after, you're heading into the wrong line of work.

Not it at all. Just a curious observation. I've been dedicated to becoming a Marine Corps Officer since I was six years old, so no, I'm not after ribbons. I'm just interested in small details that's all.

It could be for various reasons. I know on my AROTC uniform, I have earned a few ribbons, but don't wear them. Simply because I don't want to hassle with putting them on.

Additionally, since SA cadets are considered Active Duty, I would assume they could be wearing the NDSM medal or you may have seen a prior service cadet. When I visited USMA, I saw a plebe with 2 rows of ribbons and a CIB.

-Bull- Why do you think the military awards ribbons?

They award them to be worn, however, when you're recieving a ribbon in AROTC for an FTX, what is the real motivation to wear it?

If I've earned the award, what does it matter?

You really need to stop sending PM's to college kids and get a new hobby.
It is common courtesy to respond to PMs initiated by someone. If they are old enough to send them, they're old enough to receive responses. What business is it of yours whose PMs I respond to?

Folks- it's also common courtesy not to badger the other posters. This thread is closed.
