Dad has to brag a bit. My DS was offered the scholars program. He turned in his papers Friday at open house and passed Dodmerb yesterday. We all are very pleased.
This journey all started with an AIM application more so he could get a feel for ROTC style life. Though the odds were not in his favor to get in the CGA. He made the AIM cut and came back pumped about the school but feeling like his chances were slim. I told him his chances were zero if he didnt apply.
Well the scholars offer came back and we hadnt even researched this option. Had to go down for open house, DS said Aim was a blur and he wanted to look around before handing in his papers.
If I got anything out of this its you dont "win" if you dont enter. Aim is a great way for them to get a feel for the "life". When admissions says they look at everything not just sat and act marks they are serious.
Good luck to the rest waiting for word.
