I have been waiting for someone else to start this thread but since no one has I guess I will.

For those of you still waiting for your appointments good luck to all of you

For those of us who have accepted our appointments here it is....

95 days and a wake up until I-Day!!!

I give you props for being excited about coming here, but dont do this. Enjoy the time you have left with your family and friends. You will miss it when the best part of your day is a little white envelope from home.

countdown

I agree with Rage, enjoy your senior year. I know you are probably excited and can't wait, I'm sure most of us felt the same way when we were waiting, but just enjoy the time while you can. Stay active (running, working out, etc) and stay injury-free.

I understand your advice to enjoy my senior year but that is hard to do since I am not a senior hhaha. But I am enjoying my friends and family while I can, but... After being rejected last year and attending Northwestern Prep School the academy is all I can wait for. I know it will be hard and all but when you have waited for over a year after being rejected, to be down to below 100 days is exciting so I can't help it. And don't worry I am working out everyday and running 3 miles everyday!! And still enjoying every minute I have left but the countdown is what is keeping me so focused! Anyone else out there counting down?

I did! I'm just waiting for the big envelope to come in the mail now. I'm assuming you got your appointment.

Yes I did and accepted it! Just waiting for the second BFE. Did you get the email about sending in our measurements ? So I take it you got a call from you Congressman?

112 days for us preppies goin in. =P I'm counting down as well. I wish I could enjoy the time with family and friends, but I'm stuck working 800 miles away. So all you people still in high school, don't be too antsy to go, you won't realize how much you friends and family mean to you until you are a few day, if not hours, into basic training. Letters mean the world to you! =P Already been through enlisted basic myself, so I can testify that you should spend every moment you can enjoying yourself. Don't just sit there looking at the calendar.

Well, I remember being the one last year posting the countdown and I know that there is no stopping it. Your excitement is well founded, the academy place is definitely worth everything that we endured over the last 9 months, and I am sure you will feel the same. But, even at the academy, never wish for today to be over when there is still time to enjoy it.

Later,

Brian

P.S. I am still working on orientation, admissions just doesn't want me to do it.

Ok thanks Brian. Ya I can't help the excitement. But as you say I am enjoying every minute of everyday so no worries about that. Best of luck on the orientation I think it's a great idea and would love to attend. If you need any help feel free to pm me.
