V-22 rescue on Nightline and more Libya stuff...

Thanks for sharing!

My pleasure. I'm on the Osprey program and really respect the crews, maintainers and missions so I don't normally skip a chance to promote the Osprey. We're in the process of making some MAJOR MEP (mission equipment package) enhancements to the MV series which the CV version will surely mod to get later that will really open the door wide open to allow more mission types to be flown and enhance deeper penetrations and survivability so it's only going to get better. Nope, not saying so don't bother asking. We finally have an overseas customer seriously inquiring about purchasing them again and an early interested 'tire kicker' is back to seriously mulling things over to get a couple or three as their version of marine corps one fleet (they have the money and want the prestige!). One of their chief pilots is really pulling for it hard from within, they can't wait to fly it over their current egg beaters!

Bummer! I'm gonna wish for a General Electric GAU-8/A Avenger on the nose of these aircrafts! That would be sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fuse is sized to carry an F-18 engine but I'm not sure that gun above would fit!
What we have now would not impress you and you can see what the crew does in this video. The gun thing goes back and forth with the customer.

We have tried a couple of different heavier weapon options operated by pilots but I can't find any video out on public domain I can share. Sorry. I think you'd be dissapointed anyway based on the above pic.

Pretty cool! Actually the gun I posted above is actually in the A-10 Warthog. It is my understanding that they built the gun first and then the plane around it! Likely can't retrofit it into another frame.

That's true; my father was a crew chief in the Air Force and got to work on A-10's for a while. He says they're designed really well from a maintenance point.
