Get the part about arriving with nothing other than what the appointee checklist says to bring.

No civilian clothes even when going to the sponsor's house and about on weekends, right? So what does everyone 'lounge around' in even when out with sponsors or killing time on base on the weekends? AFA warmup or PE clothes?

After recognition, under what circumstances can you start to wear civilian clothes? When can you bring/use a different personal computer, when can you have stuff like bikes and remote control airplanes/helicopters, etc? When can you watch videos, listen to music? I understand much is dependent on individual squadron rules but what's the general guidline for levels of privileges?

During your freshman year you can't wear civilian clothes period. You must wear ABUs when on base. If you leave base you must be in service dress, wherever you go.

Even when in the squadron you have to wear your uniform. The nice squadrons will let you wear your PT gear in the squadron.

After recognition you can personalize your room, and bring in the computers, and stuff like that. I'm not completely sure about wearing civvies after recognition. I'm sure you can.

Yes you can. As far as cell phones or other smaller steps, it is up to your squadron. Some will let you have your phone right after BCT, whereas others will make you wait until parents weekend or beyond.

And you are allowed to wear PC gear while at your sponsors.

Prior to recognition, you will wear the uniform of the day or PC gear (if you squad allows it). When at your sponsor's, you can wear PC gear. In public, it's service dress, unless you are playing sports or something similar.

Music, movies, and civilian clothes are allowed after Recognition.

Snowboard/Ski gear is fine to have, and bikes I believe are also fine to have, although they may need to be registered somewhere....

and PC gear is your physical conditioning gear you are issued (white usafa tshirt, usafa shorts)

But that's not to say you can't rent or borrow a car. You can; any time you are free to leave the yard. You just can't have a car that is yours or allocated to you, and at the academy, until your C2C year.

privileges

when/are we allowed to have any sort of computer games in our rooms or are we not at all?

What about refrigerators, radio,TV?

Fridges are technically a 2* privilege but sophomores usually earn them during the year. Some 3*s get authorization as early as fall. Other 3*s, like me, still don't have them.

TVs are a firstie privilege.

After recognition.
