Seems like MD is quiet these days! I see a couple of early appointments on the 2015 thread! We watch and wait!! :thumb:

My DS is from Maryland, but, alas, got the TWE last week. Good luck to you and yours.

DS is 3Q and nomination but still waiting. We all have our fingers crossed and pray everyday. Pennak-Was TWE a waitlisted letter or a rejection letter?

Still in a holding pattern here in MD too. Probably the toughest state for nominations and appointments with The Yard in our 'backyard' but at this stage everyone is in the same boat. Fingers crossed.

survey question: who among you got "scholastically qualified" letters? just curious :)

We are located in Huntingtown, MD. District 5. Hoyer. My DS got the qualified letter back in November, 2010. Still waiting.

I am from Ellicott City. Received scholastically qualified letter in October and Nomination from Congressman Cummings in January. Still waiting...

son just signed and returned commitment form, 3rd district Maryland. He's third generation USNA and excited.

Yah I got nominated by Van Hollen. Same, I haven't heard a peep from the Academy since November when I got my board qualified letter.

I contacted Van Hollen's office and so far 4 people nominated by Van Hollen have been offered appointments. 2 of them have accepted the other 2 are still pending. Acccording to the person I talked to, it isn't unusual for people from our district to be offered an appointment up to a week before I-Day.

Let's just say as each day passes by I look at plan B more seriously.
