Traveling to New London

As her last hurrah, my daughter wants to go to NYC (again) just prior to reporting in. We were thinking about going on 6/18, doing the tourist thing, and heading to New London by 6/25. Will her plane ticket be covered to get to NYC rather than Hartford or Providence and will they cover it that far in advance? Hope this isn't too "stupid" of a question?

You might be able to get reimbursed if you have a final leg of the flight that lands in Providence. The whole admin world in the Coast Guard/Military still boggles the heck out of me with all of the rules and conditions.

I know when flying to a 'C' school while active duty, people have gotten the gov't to cover the amount it would take to fly them from point 'A' to point 'C'. If you want to make a stop at point 'B' to take leave, and it costs more than your 'A'-'C' flight, you will have to cover the difference. Your best bet would be to call admissions and see if they can put you in touch with the Yeomen that are in charge of cadet travel.

There also might be a phone number in the incoming cadet handbook.

Sorry if this post is a bit hard to read or doesn't make the least bit of sense...
 
more than likely you will have to pay for the flight to New York and will be reimbursed the cost of a ticket from your home city to PVD.
 
I want to travel the londob city.I am a Bangladeshi by born.How much money I need to visit there?Do you have any idea?
 
I am actually from Providence, but now currently living in the Great State of Texas!! Another option you might want to consider is to fly into Providence, then take a cab into the city where you can hop on a tour bus to NYC. If memory serves me, there are Providence - New York City bus tours happening just about every day (You will need to do an internet search to find out more). Also, the drive time from Providence into NYC is between 3-4 hours, so you could also just rent a car and do your own thing too.

Thank you for the insight. I'll give the academy a call. I just need to get the booking done & didn't want to wait too long so that I get a good fair.
