My son was told that he would hear the first week of April if he would be awarded an ROTC scholarship. It is now the beginning of the second week and he hasn't heard. Any suggestions on how to follow up on this?

Follow thw March 8th, AROTC Board thread this week and you will see it light up if and when results are posted:thumb:

This year has been a lot different then previous years.

The first board went without a hitch, the board met and 3 weeks later the results came out. Most awardees received offers to multiple schools and 4 year scholarships were by far the majority.

The second board met, it too just over 2 months for the results to come out. This board was more inclined to give only one choice for schools and there were many more 3 year scholarships awarded. The budget problems that began to heat up after the first board had a big effect as I'm sure the fact that Cadet Command was moving to Ft. Knox just after the first board met.

The third board is anyones guess. A few on this board have heard from their schools that the results could be out sometime this week. With the way things have gone this year I think the general consensus is "We'll believe it when we see it"

Good Luck, I understand the waiting can be frustrating to say the least.
