Second Step Kit

Does anyone have any idea when USMA starts opening up the Second Step Kit for applicants? I put in a class rank with my SLS application and collegeboard has already forwarded my SAT scores from my January SAT. Is there a date trigger involved as well before they'll let you start working on the rest of your file, or is that something I can expect to be happening pretty soon now.
 
I believe it opens in June or July. not 100% sure though.
 
We were just at West Point for a daily visit and were told on or about June 15.
 
From the candidate portal exactly:

** This evaluation will not begin until approximately July 1, 2011 at the earliest for most candidates to USMA 2016.**
 
Okay, so assuming that the SSK won't be available until school's over or almost over, does anyone know how the process for Letters of Recommendation works in the interest of lining those up before school ends? (Who do they require letters from, are they submitted via email or snail mail, etc.)
 
I believe all the LoR are submitted online. You will need a math teacher evaluation, english teacher evaluation and a science teacher evaluation.

Last year I just talked to all of my teachers before the end of the school year to ask if they would write me a LoR and gave them a heads up that they will be receiving emails about it during the summer. As soon as the application portal goes online for step 2 (sometime around july 1st) then you can punch in your teacher's emails and off the LoR requests go!

Hand your counseling office the address for West Point and ask them to send your transcripts as soon as available. Do this as you leave school this summer.
