Aggie Eagle Weekend

Anyone go to the Aggie Eagle Weekend- how was it?

Yes, DS and I went. The Corps did a very good job. Well organized, well thought out. The Aggie Eagles were uniformly very impressive. Hotter than Hades though for this time of year -- mid-90s

My son attended last fall. For anyone who isn't in the know, they hand you a "placeholder" scholarship that basically guarantees you in-state tuition! That's awesome. My son then received a larger scholarship and a school scholarship once he applied and was admitted. If your stats are good, be sure to apply fby the scholarship deadline.

Unfortunately A&M fell from one of his top choices, but it really was a school that he would love to attend. He just fell in love with another amazing school.

The weekend was very well run. Worth attending if you are considering A&M. We flew across the country to attend it.

Same here. My DS just this week decided to attend VMI, not that there was anything wrong with A&M but just that VMI was a better fit for him personally. You're right about the out of state tuition waiver. We had that before we even attended Aggie Eagle Weekend with a small scholarship that gave him in state tuition. Big difference! Needless to say, VMI will *not* be that inexpensive!
