So today I got a letter in the mail from West Point. I'm not sure what to make of it, please help me out. Here's what it said:

Thank you for returning your candidate questionnaire to the United States Military Academy Admissions Office, however, you did not give us the completed information.

Pending receipt of the items marked below, your file is considered inactive. If we do not receive this information within 60 days, your file may be closed.

(Here it marks that my High School Transcript has not been received)

I wasn't aware that transcripts had to be sent in with the CQ... did anyone else have to send in transcripts?! I haven't even completed my second semester of my Junior year, so I'm wondering why they want transcripts now...

I'm going to contact my RC about this but I was wondering if any of you could tell me about this.

Thanks.

Hmm. MIGHT be a mistake.

I once got an e-mail requesting my passport because they thought I was naturalized instead of a born-citizen.

They handle thousands of applications, so it is possible they mix something up, just like they did with me.

What was the date of the letter?

Also, how's your online candidate file looking like (ie. "pending" something, perhaps)?

the letter is addressed May 13th, 2011... so it's pretty recent. My online candidate portal looks exactly the same. Plus, the SSK hasn't opened yet for the c/o 2016 so it isn't possible for my status to really change since I have no status technically.

Still, the letter is confusing. I'm looking forward to hearing what my RC has to say about it.

Sounds like your on the right track. What I learned this year was that the forums are a great place for general info and the like, but for stuff like this Admissions is your best shot. I bet I emailed more times than anyone in the SE.

But persistence pays off.

I wouldn't even worry about it. You will finish school within 60 days so send WP the transcripts when you finish. Trust me I've been through it once, you don't want to create stress where there is none needed because from my experience I was stressedout from July 2010 to feb 2011 when I got my waiver denied letter. Just trying to help:thumb:
