Hi, I am a freshman in college, and currently applying for the class of 2012. I was just wondering if someone would give me some feedback on how my credentials look for an appointment.

GPA- High School 3.75
College 4.0
Class Rank-23 of 164=14%
ACT Scores-English>30
Math>28
Science>29
Reading>30
Composite>29
CFA- Basketball>74
Pull Ups>14
Shuttle Run>8.49
Sit Ups>95
Push Ups>71
One Mile>6.36
Nomination-Senator, Congress, Presidential
Leadership-High School Senior Class Representative, and Boys State Delegate
College Residence Hall Council Rep., and Secretary for a national leadership fraternity
Athletics-Varsity Football and Varsity Baseball
Community Service- Haven’t totaled it, but it is a lot

Thanks a lot for your help.

The ones not from High School are Residence Hall Council Representative and Secretary for a national leadership fraternity. The college GPA obviously wouldn't be either :)

you are very competitive. your stats are better than mine in almost every area (and i've been offered an appointement... so i dont see why you wouldn't get one!) :thumb:

twist500, you must be from a very competitive district. Do not lose heart, you can reapply until you are 23. I hear the application is easier to complete the second time around, if that is what you decide to do.

Are you in an AFROTC program at your college? That is another excellent route to becoming an AF Officer.

From your stats, it sure looks like you have what it takes to be successful in whatever you decide to do.

Rejection letter just arrived on Friday...

if i understand the process correctly, it's not a rejection letter. just a note saying you haven't gotten in yet. someone is bound to break a leg or something in may and free up a spot for a lucky somebody that might just be you! so dont lose all hope quite yet.

best of luck to you if you do re-apply next year!
