Class of 2015 Information and Question

Came across something I thought a few people would find interesting...For the class of 2015 we will be issued the Lenovo-ThinkPad-X220-Tablet-4298-Core-i5-2520M. I do not know how to attach imagines.

I also have a few questions about what we get issued.
1) Can we buy a printer and monitor at the same time we get our computers?
2) Are we issues everything like towels, sleepwear, everything except the toiletries listed that we need to bring?

Basics cannot have a printer and/or monitor until Parents Weekend and then, at the discretion of thier squadron.

You do not need to bring anything with you to BCT except for the clothes on your back and what ever you need in one small backpack. You will be issued everything else.

Printers, etc.

Yes, you will be issued towels, sleepwear, etc. All you need to bring are the toiletries, and maybe an electric razor if you'd like one. Our DS asked for nicer, bigger towels later in the year. A lot of Doolies use their own warm blankets or sleeping bags that can be thrown on top of the pre-made beds. Most won't actually sleep under the covers since it takes too much time to make the bed perfectly each morning. After Recognition, you can also put your own sheets on the bed (twin XL). As for monitor & printer, we got those for him during Parents' Weekend. Depending on your squadron, you may be able to have them earlier - wait and see.
 
Thank you. Also, I know that we can not wear civilian clothes prior to recognition, but can our parents bring us boxers or compression shorts during acceptance parade?

They are not allowed on the parade field while the parade is going on ......
LOL sorry just couldn't help it......... After the parade yes.
 
Along the same lines, do we get issued new sheets or do they give us sheets from last year's cadets? And are cadets responsible for washing them? And if not, do they get their sheets back or just a random set?

About $6 from each month's paycheck goes for the linen exchange service. There is a room in Sijan, where you then swap out your sheets / towels for "fresh and clean" linen.
 
Try not to ruin your linen too bad.. they dont take those with stains back, or maybe they just don't like me. Anyway, got a stash of stuff that's still usable, just cant return it.
