Can't wait to hear stories from all of you!! So excited for our kids! We made it through that first year...not sure if it was harder on them or us!! :yllol:

They got to the top in 2 hrs and 41 minutes but I did hear that a female midshipman was hurt

Got an update from my son and she is okay and out side of a acouple of scrapes and bruises everyone can though with flying colors

My Mid was pleased to finally get to see a Herndon climb since her class did not get to participate in one last year. She watched for about an hour and said a good time was being had by all. Congrats to Class of 2014.

Thanks, OldRanger, for the intel on the injured young lady. I have been praying for her since my husband texted that someone had been hurt.

Some good photos on FB of the climb!

DS knows injured plebe. He said she was taken off in a neck and back brace, evaluated by medical, and was back in the audience by the end of the climb! It was such an exciting time, but it certainly was nerve wracking watching these mids tumble. I was so worried about someone breaking their neck! I had to turn my head away at times!

Yes, very nerve wracking to watch the plebes step on heads and necks and my DS's previously broken collarbone! A few scratches on my mi, but he wasn't sore the next morning so that was a good sign.
