Hey all,

Haven't been on this site for a while but I just got accepted into the STEM program! I applied back in April and they sent out all the letters by May 1rst.

Unfortunately I didn't get in and was kinda dissapointed but not that much, and I forgot about it.

Well, today I just got home from school and my mom said a navy ensign just called and said they have a spot open and would like to have me!

Anyway, I read the website and brochure so can anyone tell me from experience what I should bring/do to prepare?

I went there last summer; going to NASS this summer. Hopefully, I'll be at Plebe summer next year to make it 3 summers.

What to bring?
just clothes and spending money (you probably have multiple chances to go to the mid store).popular items- food, clothes (I spent $0, but most people did spend a good 10-30 dollars)

You may or may not get a chance to swim in the pool (bring swimsuit/trunks either way). You have like 2-3 hours a day for recreational sports so bring whatever you like for working out. It is not technically mandatory to go play sports but almost everyone was.

At night, some people read, play cards, talk, chair racing in the hallway, etc.

I would strongly suggest you bring a WORKING camera.

a sleeping bag, pillow, light blanket or whatever you think you need for sleeping (I could sleep on a rock if I am tired)

notebook- so you can add other people's contacts/who to find on Facebook.

Preparation:
get ready to have fun

This is more of a just for fun camp.
