If the candidate portal shows a green icon for the CFA which was taken at summer seminar, can another CFA score be submitted?

I asked my MALO about that last year after I passed the CFA at SLS. I was told that there was no reason to resubmit the scores because I had already passed a pass/fail test.

I never submitted additional scores after I passed the CFA. And will be reporting to West Point in a few weeks.

Good luck to you. I know you will do well. So it only turns green if you pass?

Is your SSK already open?

Also, 2015USMA, can I take I "passed" the CFA if I was put under the "No Risk" category? I did above average in every activity (except for the mile run, in which I was 6 seconds short of the average). I don't think there is a "Pass/Fail" mark... but a "Risk" and "No Risk"?

It opened up today.

I know USNA CIS is up and running but for USMA my SSK has not come out yet. My ALO did send an email saying it will be open at the end of the week, but mine is not open today.

Yep, MAJ Belmont told us during his briefing at the SLS that the SSK should be open as soon as we got home; if not, 'til the end of the week.

Eagerly awaiting ;)

Mine still hasnt opened yet..I just sent in my SAT scores so hopefully my DoDMERB forms come up soon!

so for the CFA, its just a pass/fail (or risk/no risk)? I was told that some candidates were not admitted because they failed to do x number of pushups in order to beat their competition, etc...

Should I just forward my SAT scores to WP?

I don't see why not. It took a couple weeks for my scores to update onto the portal last year, so if it takes a couple of weeks then your portal should be open by then.

how do you "forward" your SAT scores to USMA? sorry if thats a stupid question..

"No risk" means pass, "At risk" means fail

For example, I was placed under the "No risk" category, and was given the green light on my candidate portal signaling to me that I passed.

I've been pretty anxious about the SSK. Mine's still not open yet. I'm kind of hoping it's soon since I'm leaving for Boys State soon.

Did it really take a couple weeks for SAT scores? I sent mine in last month and it only took a week.

Just remember, that although completing the SSK early is important, you can be offered an LOA based almost solely on your high school transcripts.

It is a good thing to try and complete the SSK early, but don't forget that USMA cannot offer you an appointment without a nomination. And unless someone gets a nomination from a non congressional source (which usually don't come out until late this year), it wouldn't make a huge impact whether the SSK is completed ASAP, or over the coming weeks. Since USMA cannot take any final action without a nomination.

However, no one should procrastinate completing the SSK because of the above reasoning.

Why not? I submitted my May SAT with the free score report and it is on the portal even though my SSK isn't open. It will just be one less thing to worry about :thumb:

Our son is at SLS this week.

How long does it usually take for the CFA to change to "green" after they take/ pass it?

The portal is not always an accurate reflection of if Admissions has recieved something and has it on file. Sometimes it seems like they simply wait until they have recieved scores from a lot of people to take the time to go in and change the icon from red to green, even though they have had the info for a little while

I was wondering if it would be better to wait for the SSK. I just sent them in now, by the way.

Collegeboard.com SAT home - scores - send (additional?) score reports - enter code 2924 - pay(? I had too, at least) - wait - win :D
