Hello all! Gab's mom here USNA 2015 - just saying hi from Florida and wondering who I will meet on 6/29...

Good luck to your DD. Now the real, rewarding, hard works begins. Tell your DD thanks for her service and dedication to our great country these the United States of America.

God Bless, God Speed and Good luck,

RGK

congrats gabsmomfl...my DS is also Class of 2015. We are from Iowa and look forward to meeting everyone on I-Day...17 days  As I have said before on this forum, I will be the one with the puffy eyes and red nose!! Enjoy these next 2 weeks!

Rkrosnar and bergmom... Thanks sooo much for your kind words. DD is excited and soo ready for the hard work...
Bergmom, did you get your DS alpha company yet? I know the meaning of puffy eyes, weird I thought I would be sad.. the puffy is from just purely being SO proud!! I know they will be fine and can't wait for I-day!

Hugs all!

Hi from New York,

DD is Class of 2015 and he is still waiting for Company assignment.

Actually DS is Class of 2015 (DD is 2013). As you can see, I may have already lost it . . .

Gabsmomfl...we have not received company assignments yet...checking the mail everyday...much easier than the wait for the BFE!!! You are right to focus on how proud we are instead of how sad we are to see them go. I am really working on that:smile: That is why I love this forum...it helps to hear other parent's perspective!!

GoNavyMom...having 2 at USNA...you have a right to "lose it" You should be really proud...we will be looking to you for lots of advice:biggrin:

Congratulations to you all. The next few weeks will fly by and you will be on the roller coaster of a lifetime! There are lots of people who are around to support and answer any questions you may have or just if you want to cry.....I know how it is. Our last son is a plebe no more (won't be a youngster until he comes into Annapolis from his YPs and sees the dome on the chapel in August) and is home on his summer break until the 29th of June and I will be in tears as he gets on the plane to go back to Mother Bancroft. I don't think we ever get over being in tears when they leave but the tears get mixed with the tears of pride and joy that they have found their way in the world and are doing a darn good job at it! (((hugs)))

Thanks for those great words usnamomx3...these days are flying by way too fast...wish I could slow it down just a little! Congrats to you son for making it through plebe year!! Enjoy having him home soon!

Thanks Gabsmomfl. Yes, I am very proud (and a little bit of an airhead right now). Just when I felt like I could breathe a little easier, here I go again. Make sure you pack a seat belt and bring along your sense of humor for the USNA ride. And Semper Gumby!! I am glad I will be in good company.
