I am a USMA grad and thought it would be interesting for us to list:

Fondest memory of USMA:
Toughest time at USMA:
What I miss the most about USMA:
What I miss the least about USMA:

Here are my answers:

Fondest memory of USMA:
Spending Thanksgiving break Yuk year with a bunch of classmates- no parents. Close second is Army Navy football games.

Toughest time at USMA:
Calc classes. I started in a pretty high section and worked my way down to one of the lower ones!

What I miss the most about USMA:
Camaraderie of my buddies and the pureness of pursuits (very few grey areas)

What I miss the least about USMA:
Plebe swimming

Fondest memory of USMA:
Finding fun where most people would have trouble thinking that there was any fun to be had, and doing it without breaking any (major) regulations.

Toughest time at USMA:
When I found out that one of my closest friends was being separated.

What I miss the most about USMA:
The generally carefree life that cadets do not know that they live. When your worst worries are the Dean and the Comm, life is actually pretty easy.

What I miss the least about USMA:
That feeling in the pit of my stomach that I got every time I returned from leave, up to and including return from the last weekend leave Firstie year. Did I mention that I did not know how carefree my life really was?

This is a fun thread for the old grads out there. Thanks for creating it!

Fondest memory of USMA - It goes without say but meeting my wife (we just celebrated our 23rd anniversary last month) but I will also fondly remember the crazy spirit missions I was part of. Dropping the I-Beam in the olympic pool and into Lusk Reservoir, reversing the wiring of the class lights in Washington Hall and other shenanigans.

Toughest time at USMA - Graduating and leaving my future wife behind.

What I miss the most about USMA - The camaraderie of my classmates and company mates.

What I miss the least about USMA - Plebe Boxing. It built confidence but I much preferred swimming!

On his behalf...

Although I'm not a grad, I am priveleged to be married to one! He is USMA Class of 1990...

Fondest Memory at USMA: Beating Navy at baseball my senior year (he played baseball there)...but he does agree that beating Navy in football his plebe year is a great second!

Toughest time at USMA: Plebe Computer

What I miss most: The camaraderie of the Cadets

What I miss least: Urinalysis Tests

2004 Grad.

Fondest Memory at USMA: Being a Beast squad leader (first detail). I still remember those "kids" like it was yesterday. What a long road we've all traveled.

Toughest time at USMA: An incident which shall remain unnamed that resulted in some serious hours on the area and a month of room restriction/loss of rank.

What I miss most: Having all my best friends right down the hall...and all alive.

What I miss least: The IOCT. Still the worst.

I haven't heard the acronym "IOCT" in a long, long time. Still brings back bad memories. I don't know of anyone, no matter how good of shape they were in, that enjoyed it. The medicine ball around the track was what always put it over the top for me.
