3 Pullups = Fail CFA?

Probably.

How is your workout? Good ideas seem to be MFT, or Muscle-Failure Training. Basically, pump up as many pullups as you can until you are absolutely sure your arms will fall off. Rest for 1 or 2 minutes and do it again, x5.

It doesn't matter cause if you fail one part you fail the whole test. A guys on my track team only did 4 or 5 and he passes. He was recruited for shot put though.

That's what I read... But that was constantly negated during SLS - "There are now minimum scores". I WOULDN'T be surprised if there was, in fact, a treshold.

In Army ROTC, to remain in the program, a cadet must attain a minimum 60% score (60 points on a scale of 1-100) on each of the three test sections separately: 2 minute pushups, 2 minute situps, 2 mile run. The total score is not the deal breaker, each individual test must be passed with a 60 score.

The test that plagues most "bulky" and large muscled cadets is the 2 mile run. Imagine Brock Lesnar doing a 2 mile run (without training) :)

In USMA, you need a 70% in each of the 3 APFT events to pass, collective score doesn't matter. They are refering to the CFA which is strictly for admissions and you never do it again. The scores to pass for the CFA aren't published, only the scores to max are.
 
You will be right on the fence with three pull ups. The good news is, its still June. Find a good pull up workout program online, and by August 1 you'll be ready to crank out 5 or 6.
