Is the food during regular year as good as during SLS?

Because... THOSE-WERE-THE-BEST-TASTING-MEALS-I-HAVE-EVER-HAD!

(And I had lots of different meals in my life.)

It'll be the same meals, but lower quality because they have to turn out enough for 4400+ people rather than just 500. They still aren't all that bad, though, during the school year.

I got to eat lunch with the Cadets last April and I was very impressed with the meal! I am sure though after four years it gets old. That's pretty much the standard with any Army meal though.

Haha well, in SLS we never actually repeated our meal. (Well, it WAS a 1 week program XD)

I mean, of course there are not enough different meals (that USMA would care to make) for 4 years worth of class, 3 meals a day... But how often is it repeated?

Because, let's face it, I have basically the same meal everyday back home. WP can only bring a little more variation to the table, right?

best chicken pot-pie i have EVER had

The meals are repeated every so often... Lasagna comes around like...once a month or so. I think it depends for each meal and is based on popularity.

As stated above, the quality depends on the amount of people they need to feed. Your second comment gives me the urge to call child services.

"And I had a lot of different meals in my life"?

Ie. I say WP's food was really good, even though I have tried more things than home food and fast food?

No, the "they are the best meals I have ever had" is what I was refering to. It was a joke. Made me wonder what you eat on a regular basis that the stuff we get fed here is the best you have ever had.

XDD I got it now XD

You know, I was actually amazed. But maybe it was the excitement? Well, on Military Day, we had a MRE... I had meatballs... Am I crazy to say those things were delicious? haha

MRE's are good..if you eat them once in a while. It doesn't take long for you to start hating them.

:yllol: Hahahhaa!

My squad leader was like, "Guys, don't get the Veggie Omelette... it... just sucks..."

I think I got pretty lucky :thumb:

What did you get, USMA2016?

I got the chicken dumplings. Pretty bomb meal. I really envied the guys who got the bbq pork sandwich... that looked good.

At my week (SLS II) most of the meals were some sort of dry chicken so pretty much every meal had to be 'fixed' with barbecue sauce. Do you remember how on the bbq sauce bottle it said 'the sauce is the boss'? Well, our squad got to using it so much that by the last day our squad leader made us loudly say "The sauce is the boss!" every time we poured bbq sauce. :shake:

No... I had the meatballs once and they were great!
I know some people who also had it and they hated it, but I think the problem was that they just didn't let it cook long enough.

Yep.

I was amazed by the amount of bread they gave me... cheddar cheese + that bread = delicious. Or perhaps I was just hungry?
