What are the chances of somebody all ready in the Army being accepted? I've already begun my application process. thanks

I believe that West Point has a number of slots reserved for Soldiers every year, so probably pretty good. You still have to be a good candidate, though. Have you contacted West Point's admissions office?

ive contacted them an im somewhat done with the application process i just need one more evaluation an take the CFA

soldier15R,

chances

Glad to see more active duty on the forums... The single most important thing for everyone, in my opinion, is to just be proactive and stay motivated. Keep moving forward. Too often those AD get told we have no chance and it's stupid, but in all reality hard work goes a long way.

Glad you're here 15r.

I'm glad to see im not the only one whos applying im stationed in south korea an all the officers i work with keep helping me an encouraging me

Do you guys know how often these slots get used up? I remember hearing that the service-connected ones mostly go unused.

yeah an Lt. that i work with said when he was there they never filled up an whenever a soldier did apply they automatically accepted them

15R?

Can someone translate? What does it mean to be a "15R"?

I heard that little to none of the slots get used up every year. I think I am wrong though, its just what I heard.

That is true, but regardless one must be competitive academically/physically to be considered even as a soldier/combat vet.

yeah its a pretty cool job i work with pilots all day long some are west pointers too thats why i'm applying an they told me that the slots never filled up every year they were there but we still have to stand out from each other. Good luck to everyone!
