Can someone please explain what will take place at the Scholarship Competition at Norwich U next month? Thank you.

This is the first I'm hearing of this, but so you aren't left out in limbo I'll ask around tomorrow and see what I can find out and get back to you. If anyone else knows anything I'm sure they'll post.

My DS attended the scholarship competion at Norwich last fall. The prospects are grouped by major and broken down into smaller teams. They are given a problem to solve and one team is chosen as the winner. My understanding is that members of the winning team were given some type of scholarship award. My son's team did not win but attending the competition gave him another look at the school, current students and faculty. It also gave him a chance to speak to other students considering the school to make sure Norwich was the right fit for him. My DS is a Rook at Norwich ... ME major. He is exhausted, overwhelmed and very happy he chose Norwich!

Our son attended the competition last year as well. The chance to meet other prospective students, spend more time at the school, and work on team and leadership skills was a great experience for him. He's a Rook, busy, tired and convinced he made the right decision to attend Norwich.

My DS did this last year at this time. He was very glad he did it and ultimately got a scholarship offer from Norwich that was substantial. If you can do it, by all means do so as it is good opportunity to get to know the school. While my DS ultimately choose VMI, where he is now, he very much liked Norwich as well. And the setting is beautiful. :thumb:
