Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew when USAFA starts to give out appointments. Have they already started this process?

Thanks

Hello,

This year will be different than years past due to the limited number of slots available. No one on these boards knows (or is able to share) when the first appointments are going out. You'll just have to be patient as the AFA does their job of selecting. Sorry.

Good Luck to you. :thumb:

Thank you for your response. One more question. I am in a very rare situation. I am currently a permanent resident of the U.S. and I am able to apply for US citizenship in March of 2012. I believe I am competitive in all areas this citizenship situation is the only part that is holding me back. Do you know if my situation qualifies as one of the reasons to be accepted to the prep school?

In order to apply to the Academy (and possibly be offered a slot at the Prep School) you must meet their requirement:

"A citizen of the United States. Your citizenship must be finalized prior to entering the Academy. You must submit proof of citizenship if you were foreign born or naturalized. Authorized international students are exempt from this requirement."

So if you gain citizenship before I-Day you would be okay. Getting the paperwork in and processed by then will be pretty tight. Do your best to get the ball rolling on the process as soon as possible.

Good luck! :thumb:
