My status changed to "conditional" today. I have an interview w/ my Senator this Saturday, but I am interviewing for the Air Force Academy. I have the Merchant Marine Academy listed as my second choice for a nomination. How should I let them know that I received a "conditional" appointment? :thumb:

Absolutely; an MOC can give nominations to more that one academy, it depends on their policy. My DS got three nominations from his congressman. Good luck ahead.

I wouldn't feel like you are required to tell them unless they mention KP. You may just want to say something along the lines that you want to focus all your energies with them towards the AFA. If they press further then absolutely don't hide it. Just be careful that you don't sound evasive, it can seem dishonest. I just wouldn't feel the need to be the one to bring it up.

When our DS had his MOC interview, he had already received his USMMA LOA. He brought a copy with him and presented it to the interview panel along with his triple-Q letters from two other academies. The panel was impressed that he provided that verification of his current status, and he received noms to all three academies.

I'd at least print a copy of the screen and bring it with me to give to them to add to your folder/application information for the nomnination.
