What a load of crap....got to love idiot protesters. Just got an e-mail from RAND as they're starting the lock down since they've become aware of the event. I have to get work done, so I'll get the chance to laugh out the window as these clowns do their little "Teach-in."

(Their accusations are directly related to the work I do at RAND, so I just lost any respect I might have had for them)

Aren't you going to keep an open mind?

Their mission today: "RAND makes WAR their business, yet they're giving a presentation on Mental and Physical Medical needs of US Vets. Occupy LA is holding a teach-in on the sidewalk about what RAND is up to inside 1776 Main."

We have a large event tonight for policy-makers and veterans so they can learn about our efforts (I would add that I am a part of the projects looking at Vet health).

A) They are protesting vets in my eyes, automatic-dislike
B) Over half of RAND is private, and the military part looks at doctrine, strategy, futures, etc. Some of these clowns are saying we do weapons research. lol

Ya, bunch of looneys in the LA Occupy group. On the bright side, on their facebook wall advertising this, many are going "What does this have to do with us?"

If anyone wants to help join my cause, look up the OccupyLosAngeles facebook group and like my post under the rand picture. :) My post is now the second most popular on that thread. :D

Did they go home or are the ignorants still on your doorstep?

Weird, I lost that "respect" once they spit on a uniformed member of the military... long before they decided to protest a government contractor.

I might be a little careful posting on a Facebook group for them though, if I were still in the military. They have a tendency to "run with it"...and that can become embarrassing.

Consider protesters fun. We had a number of protesters get into our building during the Deepwater Horizon oil spill response. They got stuck in a little swipe in "fish bowl area" where the elevators were. People couldn't figure out why they were protesting the people leading the clean up. It also rained that day, which eventually sent them home (once they were forced back outside.)

Actually boweled on the next ally from Robert Morse and Dustin Hoffman when I was stationed out at Montaulk. Tough Duty Station.
