Just hang in there. What happened last yr, may not be true for this yr.
What you need to understand is how the WCS system works once you have that nom in hand.
No charging can occur until the entire slate has received their WCS. If Candidate Procrastinator from Sen. A does not submit their CFA until Feb (their right), and the other 9 have. Sen. A. will not be charged an appointee until that candidate has a WCS.
This does not mean, they can't appoint someone from the slate...i.e. Candidate LOA from Sen A's list, or Candidate Smith that was also on Cong. Paul's list. It just means that Sen A. will not be charged until everyone has a WCS.
AFA is skimpy on LOA's not every slate will have a candidate with an LOA. Which brings back the fact that getting the nom is important, but don't leap to the assumption that you will hear a
or
shortly after getting the nom., unless you have that LOA.
They don't call it Mass Mailing March for grins and giggles. In yrs passed it has been the time that the majority will hear if they were appointed. You will see the appointed list in March go from 40-50 in Feb to 125+ in March.
Enjoy your life now. Keep updating your records, but understand this is a roller coaster ride. You will get the nom., and be thrilled for a few days until reality sets in, and you now are fighting again like you did for the nom., to be the best on that slate the AFA board judges. WCS!
Also do yourself a favor don't look at the appointed list searching to see if they won a nom from Paul, or the Sens. You don't know their background. For example, maybe they have an LOA. (LOA's are not necessarily charged to the MOC). Maybe, they have a Presidential or ROTC, and you don't.
You can't take a leap that if you see a kid from Paul's district that that nom is gone, unless you know that it was their only nom and they had an LOA. They usually will state their district or state, and date, but you don't know their charging source. Even than you could still be appointed from the NWL.
The more you understand the appointment process the more you will feel comfortable because you will say March is when the fat lady starts to sing her aria, and July (I-Day) is when she stops singing.
The fat lady right now is just warming up her vocal chords. In the next few weeks we will start to hear little parts of the musical piece, but just parts.
