SAME Construction Camp

For those of you juniors interested in engineering (USAFA is an engineering school), there is a week long construction camp on the FERL site on the USAFA campus. You get sponsored by a SAME (Society of Military Engineers) post to cover 1/2 of your registration and your airfare. My DS did this 2 years ago and enjoyed it tremendously. My younger son is wanting to do this. We haven't contacted a SAME post yet but are planning to within the next couple of weeks to try and get the ball rolling. Do you have any advice?

The sooner you contact the post, the sooner they will let you know that they'll sponsor you. My DS decided late to pursue this. The local post had already sponsored another student. We contacted the camp registrar and she found a sponsor for us. I believe that attendance at this camp helped my DS get into USAFA. PM me with further questions.
