Got my appointment in the mail two days ago! Put my acceptance in the mail yesterday morning :thumb:

Congrats! I just got a letter in the mail saying all my information had been received and that I will be under review for Early Action. I thought it was a TWE. But because I am curious and if you wouldn't mind, would you be willing to share your stats since you received your BFE so soon? I'd really appreciate it.

We also received a call on Monday. Waiting for the packet will sign and return asap!!

I received my rejection letter today. It was still great being able to attend AiM and go on this application journey with you all. Good luck to all those still waiting! :thumb:

3.6 GPA, 29 ACT, 256 PFE, attended AIM, and I thought my essays were pretty solid. The thing I was shooting for was a scholars appointment at most.

I'm sorry to hear that...the stats you posted are good (better than mine!).

What I'm wondering is that the Academy consistently asks about is our commitment to serving others and when people post their stats they don't seem to list their "community service" stuff. I guess sometimes those things seem small in comparison to grades and test scores...but my Admissions Partner nearly yelled at me saying that the Academy really does care about our duty to our fellow man. How do those of you who have been offered appointments and who got non-selection letters look in terms of the "intangibles" of community service?

I guess I should post mine if I'm asking you to post yours!

I'm an Eagle Scout, five palms, Order of the Arrow, Senior Patrol Leader, etc.
Boys State delegate
Big Brother (Big Brothers Big Sisters program) 3 yrs.
Volunteer for: Veterans Wheelchair Games, Pittsburgh Marathon (Medical Staff), Ham Radio Emergency Management team, Regular blood donor, in a group that helps local shut-ins and widows with yard work, leaves, snow shoveling etc., I've had a part time job for the past two years, lots of youth group activities like soup kitchen and mission trips. I've lettered in several sports and am a section leader in band....I also shoot Trap and Skeet competitively (most people don't even know what that is...so probably isn't too valuable!) and I'm the squad leader in that....I also went to Cadet for a Day...I was able to get an interview with my Admissions Partner... But like I said, I'm a solid student, but not like most of you...I did OK on the physical test but I didn't max it...

This is all of the stuff that seems small next to the 4.0 GPAs that most of the people here have.

I'm realistic about my chances, but I don't really understand what the Academy's score sheet looks like and how I'll stack up. I know that I love the mission of the CG and want to be an Officer in the CG. If I don't get an offer, I'll be disappointed, but I won't give up.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing what your intangibles are.
