Well tomorrow is 12/1 and once again, cadet command has failed to pay the Fall scholarship for room and board again. I just don't understand why they can pay when it's used for tuition, but not when it's used for room and board.

Last Fall my son was finished with his first semester at school and home before it was paid so we will see what happens this semester. I put my son's scholarship from the spring semester in his savings account for him to use this Fall semester. Who says moms are not a good thing to have watching your back?!

Just like last year, one poor cadet is left without the funds to pay his December rent at this point or for food. He's an MS III so it's not like he is a new cadet.

Anyone on here have their scholarship paid when it's used for room and board? I told my son I would inquire so he could let his friend know.

Sorry I can't be better help.

My son has told me that they have the same issues at his school for cadets that use the scholarship for room and board. I think the funds come from a different account which slows thins down. The cadets at my son's school have had to cover their room and board while waiting for repayment.

Good luck.

Thanks. I took all of it and opened a savings for my son,,therefore he is always one semester ahead. It's a good lesson to see how the Army can move slowly.

His friend on the other hand has a real issue. Rent is due tomorrow, cell phone bill is late, and he needs to eat. I feel badly for him. He doesn't have family to help.
