1. I was recently inducted into my school's NHS, however, I have already turned in my AROTC scholarship application and everything has been submitted. Is there some way to add this to my application?

2. When, or has the AROTC scholarship board already mailed out scholarship offers yet?

3. If the board did not offer a candidate a scholarship at this time, will they still mail this person saying that he or she was not chosen and will be looked over again on the next board date?

Thanks in advance.

1. It's been years since I've completed the App, but you may be able to fax/mail some sort of official letter stating your induction into NHS that you can send to cadet command.

2. Yes, the first board has already met and if you have not recieved an offer yet, I doubt you did. You will automatically be rolled over to the following boards.

3. You will be rolled over until all boards have met.

Good Luck :thumb:

It all depends on when you sent your application. I assume since you are asking whether the 1st board has met that your application was sent in time to be seen by the first board. In that case you cannot add or update your application other then new SAT/ACT scores, unfortunatly everything else is locked in.

The first board met in October, all notifications have been sent, if you have not received word by now you did not receive a scholarship the first round.

Cadet Command does not send out letters to applicants that did not receive a scholarship the first board. Your status will remain as it is until a scholarship is awarded. If you do not receive a scholarship during the Jan. board you will again automatically be rolled over to the final 3rd board. If you do not receive a scholarship on the final board you will receive a letter sometime early May stating that you were not selected.

Unfortunatly all you can do right now is wait it out until the next board and possibly the final board.

Good luck.

Can you change your order of school choices?

armyman736, I would contact the ROO with whom you interviewed and ask him or her for the best advice on this. Here is the interview sheet that he or she likely used: http://www.armyrotc.msstate.edu/benefits/forms/cc159-R.pdf

You will see that being inducted to NHS adds big points to the interview score, which ultimately goes into your overall candidate score. I'm not saying that your ROO will send Cadet Command an amended interview scoresheet (with points added to reflect your NHS induction), but it is worth asking the question at least.
