I am assuming there is a separate board for NROTC MO in school scholarships. Does anyone know if this is correct?

DS is working on his package and needs to attach his high school transcript, which makes sense to me. But in the process of discussing this with him he said the package needs to be completed in the spring. I'm a bit suspect about when it needs to be completed. Does anyone know when packages need to be available to go before the board?

Don't really expect to get an answer here, but just like the scholarship, if you don't "apply" your chances are 0%.

I suppose I should just leave this up to him, but I'm concerned he is confused and I hate to contact the cadre myself since he'll have my head if I do so (and he's strong enough now to do it! )

Traditionally, strong units will be on top of this when it comes to mids/cadets regarding any issue that is applicable to them.

I would not be shocked by the completing in the spring. Spring at college starts in Jan. Jan is their Spring semester. In college is a much smaller board than HS. It has a faster turn around time.

Plus, IS can meet in April, and release in May before college gets out. Their decisions will not impact them until Aug/Sept.

Finally, they usually will not do this until all schools across the nation submit 1st semester grades, and Command recs. For our DS his last final is the 19th, he doesn't return until the 25th of Jan. His sister's last final is the 15th and must be back @ 10 days earlier. They are both on semesters, cadets at schools on tri-mesters will not have their grades until sometime in Jan.

They take all of that into consideration, and that is why they do it in the early spring.

Thanks for the reassurance Pima. Just me being a worried Dad I guess.
