This may be a painfully obvious question, but I was wondering how you would go about the 3 letters of recomendation from teachers for the academy application if you plan on applying to multiple academies. Could you use the same letters? I don't know how you would go about this...

Hi beans, not sure if you are referring to letters of rec or teacher evals. It it is only LOR's I would suggest that you get them from other sources, i.e. employers, former academy alumni, etc. That will help the admissions staff to get a better picture of you as a person, not just as a student. I think that you can use the same sources for all of the Academies/colleges that you are applying to. As for the teacher recs, those are pretty structured and specific per the application process. Good luck.

The SOE's I believe is what they are called, are now an online form evaluation that is specific for each academy. You will provide the e-mail address of your math, science and english teacher on your application and the academy will send the recommendation request (SOE) to them for completion. Supplementary letters of recommendation must come from different people.

You CAN'T have the same teachers that did your evaluations write you LOR's, however if there is a teacher that you have known for a while or a club sponsor that knows your character and has something good to say about you then I say go for it! Letters from Service Academy Alumni will always be a plus, just make sure they know you and your character! :thumb:
