This morning I received a call from my senator's office informing me that I have received his nomination to USNA!!!!!!!!

I am already medically qualified plus I have a LOA to USNA.

How long would it probably take before I actually receive the appointment letter?

I am extremely excited right now!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats!

Depends on when your Senator submits his/her slate to USNA (they have until Jan. 31). After that, for most people, it's a couple of weeks.

Congrats! I just got a call from my Congressman this morning and found out I recieved an appointment. I was 3Q with a principal on 12 December.

Once again congradulations!!

Congratulations!

Below is the timeline of DS with an LOA.

DS kept on checking CIS portal everyday after receiving a nomination.

Nomination was posted on CIS one week after the date of nomination letter (but this will depend on when your MOC submits the nomination)

8 days after Nomination showed up on CIS, MOC found out about the appointment and called DS immediately.

3 weeks and 4 days after the date of nomination or 2 weeks and 4 days after the nomination was posted on CIS, DS received a beautiful blue folder containing the official letter of appointment (this BFE did not fit in our mailbox)

BTW, on CIS, it does say "appointed".

Hope this is not confusing.

Sorry, but here is a correction to my previous post.
USNA CIS portal DOES NOT say "appointed" , or this portal does not even have a place to say "appointed", but DS did receive an appointment letter.
So don't look for "appointed" remark on the CIS, because it will not say so.

Congratulations!

I think I'll leave a note with special instructions for my mailman in case the BFE doesn't fit.

I am just dying to get that letter!!!!!!!!!!

also waiting on my NROTC letter, Michigan letter, and nom letters

Congratulations! I am in the same boat but my Senator actually called last Friday, December 16 and she said that she sent in the slate to the academy already but the nomination has not shown up on the CIS and I have obviously not received an appointment letter yet which I am so very anxious to get also. I am afraid I may not get the appointment anyways though because I only have a triple qualification and one of the other nine on the slate may have an LOA which could mean a higher WCS but with that being said I am keeping my fingers crossed that my triple qualification is enough to get the appointment especially because my MOC talk and because of this the other senator did not give me a nomination. So it would be all up to my Congresswoman to give me a nomination and earn an appointment through her or else my dream could stop there because I do not think I am competitive enough for the national pool.
