Hi, I had my transcript printed from my guidance office so that I could obtain my GPA for the Summer Seminar application.

However, it says my unweighted GPA is a 91.627, which is not on the correct GPA Scale (i.e. 4.0)

So I have to convert it, but different websites say different things. For my application I said 3.7, but then some people told me that if you have an A then it should be a 4.0. Is this true? What does a 91.627 convert to on the GPA Scale?

Thanks

You do not have to convert it. USAFA will convert the GPA for you using your school profile. Just report the 91.627.

Good Luck. :thumb:

Dad, the OP is submitting a SS application which doesn't include a school profile, not an app for the Academy which would include the school profile.

I think he does need a GPA on a 4.0 scale. In that case, I would suggest going with Vista's answer of 3.66508 which the OP rounded to 3.7 since he must have figured the Admissions folks didn't want 6 significant figures.

USNFilms, I think you are just fine. By the way, an unweighted 4.0 would be all A's each worth 4.0 with no A-'s which are worth 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.

We were told two years ago by a USAFA admissions representative to divide by 25. My DS was also on a 100 pt scale. Best of Luck!
