So I filled out my basic info, and I don't know what to do from there. I know I have to send in letters of rec. and contact info for proof of the activities i'm in. Do we have to wait until the 15th of June after the evaluation period, or am I just missing something?

If you're talking about applying for the class of 2017, then all your resources for you to apply will become available and additional instructions this summer.

In the meantime,if your school runs anything like mine does, talk to your counselors about 6th semester transcripts BEFORE this year is over. My school got them done September 22, which is far too late for an LOA, and I know of other schools that got them done after LOA's were sent out as well. Talk to them now and make your transcript a top priority. It also wouldn't hurt to begin talking to your teachers you want to fill out the evaluation forms for you, just so they know what is coming for them during the summer (if that is when you send off the requests). Not much else you can do... it is the calm before the storm called West Point Admissions :)

green status

if the status ball turns to green for the candidate fitness exam--does that just mean it was received or does that mean it has been passed?

Once everything is green, how does the next step--getting the DoD physical--get inititiated?

thanks

This is probably the most important thing an applicant can do within their control.... Line up transcripts & Letter of Recommendations before school is out. Also look ahead and see what the MOC requirements are, though that's usually less time sensitive.

Transcript you can sometimes get from the school HQ even if the staff is out for your particular school.

The teacher referrals get sent via email. You need their email address, and let them know to be looking for them in the summer. Explain what it's for, and how time sensitive it is.

Then when you fill out that section of the application on the portal, send a polite "heads up" note to them to let them know to be looking for it. If the teacher is not going to be able to check email/respond due to travel you may want to reconsider your choice.

It means that it has been received.
The DoDMERB has to be requested by the RC.
When did this candidate open their file and when was it complete (when all the icons were green) ?

One thing that 2017 candidates can do NOW is apply for the Presidential Nomination - if eligible for that nom.

just went green. candidate has already graduated from high school and the last green was receipt of first semester college transcript

^^^ When did they open their file - IOW - when did they start the application ?
