Can anyone tell me about your experiences at FLC, if it was worth the time. I understand that it is a rigorous military program, but if you could briefly outline a day that would be great.

I cant give you any info on FLC, but I can give you a day in the life of a Rook if youre interested.

My DS went to FLC last summer and loved it! He said they had "hard core" military type days. He was in the toughest pt group, which really challenged him, and he loved and hated it at the same time. Everyone gets a chance to lead their company for a day and they are evaluated on their strengths and weaknesses. He learned invaluable lessons and made lifetime friends. I know he would highly recommend it to anyone who was thinking of going. When he came home, I asked him if he was ready to come home, but he said he wished he could have stayed there! Good luck on your decision!

I would add that if you are interested in Norwich as a cadet, going to FLC can position you better for admissions and scholarships. It was a great experience for my son who found the experience rewarding enough to pursue a military career.

I agree. My DS went to FLC for 2 years (second year as an assistant instructor). It was a great experience for him and he loved it...so much that he is now a rook at NU:thumb:

Whenever I click on the application download, I get the pt schedule. I requested an aplication by mail, but is the application closed now? I've tried it on two computers so I don't think its the computer.

The application period is probably not closed yet but you're right, the link for the application is not accurate. I recommend you call Christa Lewandowski at 802-485-2531 and she will help you out. The other links are intact (medical, health and transportation forms) and you will need to complete those as well once you submit your application. Don't wait to receive it by mail, call Christa and she will take care of you.

Thank you for the advice, I couldn't get in contact with Christa but was given the email of someone else who could help me. Thanks again for the help.
