Wondering if anyone in CA has heard from Boxer or Feinstein regarding their nom packet? I understand they will only contact you if they chose to interview you and in the past they have received close to 1000 packets... No news on this end yet!

I don't know if this information is of any help, but my son's interview with Senator Boxer's office was not until Jan 22nd last year. I believe he didn't initially hear from her office until after Jan 1. The interview was by phone, (he was away at college/prep school). After the interview, he was told he would be notified in two weeks whether he received the nomination or not.

We haven't heard anything. Interview w/ Congresswoman is Dec. 3. I wonder if the two senators wait until all those interviews are over? No idea. Good luck everyone.

That could be the case since DS has congressman interview Dec 10. Seems like many other states are done and noms are in- not surprised Ca is late in the game!

My senators and congressman have all had interviews and 2/3 of them have already given nominations. :thumb: It sure is nice to get that requirement off my chest!

Haven't even been contacted by my Congressman or Senators yet. I've been pretty anxious.

Maryland here, had a congressional interview last weekend with nomination decisions listed as announcing in January  (I really hope that's not the case) Got another senatorial interview on Dec 3. Good to know we're not the only ones...

Nomination received in CA

DS received a nomination letter from Congressman today (nomination dated Nov. 22). DS had an interview on Nov. 4.

DS' friend received a phone call from Senator Feinstein on Nov 23 and scheduled a phone interview (for Dec. 4, I think). He lives in a different congressional district and had an interview with the congressman's board on Nov 19 and they are supposed to send a letter by Dec. 3 (I think).
DS did not receive a phone call from Senator Feinstein on Nov. 23 but his Congressman's nomination letter was dated Nov. 22. They might talk to spread the wealth. California is so competitive that in our district, you can only receive one nomination to one academy (no multiple nominations/no multiple academies for California candidates who live in competitive district, I think).

Hope this helps.

Georgia

Both Senatorial interviews and nominations have been given. I believe a few congressional nominations as well, but those on this forum from those districts will have to verifiy. 8th Congressional district interviews are this upcoming Friday. Good luck to all Georgia's DS & DD still hoping for nominatations and appointments; congrats to those who've already received them and accepted!

crair70- havent heard from Feinstein or Boxer. I know that some people have--but only for errors on their packets :) best wishes to your son!!!!!!:thumb:

Campbell, CA-48

Our son received his nomination to USMA from Congressman Campbell, CA-48, on Friday (11/25/2011).

No word from our Senators, but California is so big they do not contact you at all unless you make the cut for an interview. I don't expect we will make that cut, and are very grateful for Congressman Campbell's nomination as this is a VERY competitive district.

I'm from CA district 01. Haven't heard anything from Senators, though got an email from my congressman that I have their nomination. MAkes me nervous that someone else got a call already!

Fingers crossed they're just going a bit slow and our calls are coming any day! Go California! :thumb:

CA-14 district here. Has anyone heard anything from Sen. Boxer yet, hoping to get a USAFA nomination from her! I've recieved a nomination from Senator Feinstein Dec. 21 (she does a competitve nomination pool, no ranking), so the anxious waiting is done with her...

I got chosen for an interview with Senator Boxer. They cancelled it because I already have a nom. They said they chose 30 out of 800-900 applicants

Senator Boxer's office - nomination interview info for CA

We received a call 2 weeks ago from Senator Boxer's office that my son's phone interview will be held on Dec 21st for about 30 mins by a USNA alum.

Son is scheduled to interview with Sen. Boxer's office by phone on Jan 21. He told them his web portal shows a nomination from his congresswoman (CA-12), but he doesn't have a letter from her. They haven't cancelled the interview.

This is slightly off topic, but does anyone else seem to have an issue with Senator Feinstein's nomination? I recieved her nomination back on Dec. 21, 2011 but on my WP candidate portal it still hasn't shown up. I've called Katie Grose at her SF office but no response yet. Anyone else's nomination not show up on the portal as well?

My son received the nomination from Sen Feinstein approx. 3 weeks

Allow me to clarify my situation a little more. I've recieved the letter saying that I have the nomination. However, on my candidate portal it doesn't show that I have her nomination. Anyone else have this issue?
