Here is a list of the courses I've taken in high school and what I will take next year as a senior. I would appreciate any responses to how I will look to the Academy in terms of class load. I've made an A in all of these classes, with the exception of future grades as they are unknowable at this time. I'm ranked 13/496 at my school and hopefully that will get better as the school year progresses.
Grade 9:
Honors English 09
Honors Biology I
Honors Algebra I
Spanish I
Men's Choir
Aerospace I (AF JROTC)
PE/Health and Wellness (Required to graduate...not my choice)
Grade 10:
Honors English 10
Honors Chemistry
Honors Geometry
AP World History (Passed the exam)
Spanish II
Chamber Choir (Most advanced option for choir; audition required)
Aerospace II
Grade 11:
Honors Algebra II
AP US History
AP English Literature
Honors Physics I
Spanish III
Chamber Choir
Aerospace III
Grade 12:
Honors Pre-Cal/Trig
AP English Language
AP US Government and Politics
AP Macroeconomics
AP Physics B (with a class period for lab)
Chamber Choir
Aerospace IV
These courses are locked in, and there's nothing I can do to change them. I know I'm lacking Calculus but my math teacher advised EVERYONE against doubling up in classes in order to get to it (i.e. he wouldn't approve of it. Thus, we couldn't get a counselor to consent to it) Other than that, I think I look okay. I'm hoping the AP Physics will help obscure the absence of AP Calc.
Thanks in advance for all of your help!
