My son, a freshman in AFROTC, just called last night to tell us that he was being awarded a 3-year full-ride AF scholarship! We are so happy for him. He did not get the AF scholarship for incoming freshmen, but he was determined that this is what he wanted to do. He has worked really hard these last few months, and has gotten good grades and been very active in his detachment. He loves it and is thriving.
We didn't even know whether there would be any in-college scholarships this year. So, to all of you who will be rising freshmen this year, do not give up if you get a TWE this year!
