Does anyone know how many cadets are competing for field training?
I know there are less cadets competing this year and they are offering around 400 more slots. So how does that affect each detachment percentage wise? For instance, my det has a 81% acceptance rate, so this year what would it be?

I have heard 200 more attending float around, but not 400. I would think at that number it would be nationally close to 80- 90%. With the current fiscal budget I cannot see that increase at all, especially when the AFA is slowing their pipeline. For your det that would be 100%.

If your college had an 81% selection rate last yr. when the national avg was 55%, I wouldn't concern yourself at all regarding this issue. Basically, it would appear the ones that didn't get it probably hit way below the 2.5 cgpa marker or failed the PFT and if not those 2 issues, they messed up on other issues (DUI).

That is a great rate. Congrats to your det because they must be doing something right to get that % of cadets selected for FT.

Well, with 200 more slots, that's ~2 more EAs awarded per detachment.

Of course, that's assuming they were all distributed equally.
