Hey guys. I was just wondering if any of you have heard word on your scholarship status. I have heard that boards meet in February. So has anyone been notified? If so what day

I'm anxiously waiting on notification as well. We should be finding out soon. I'm hoping for this week!

My son received a call from the recruiter that he had been working with on 3/12 telling him that he had been selected. Nothing in the mail yet.

Board Meet when?

I thought the next Board meets on March 01st. So for those that are getting calls and have gotten Scholarship , that must be from the February 1 board meets. The last and final Board meet will be this 1st March. So good luck to all of us who haven't recieved offer yet! Hang in there :)
P.S. final submisson to update file is tomorrow Feb 28.

Saniel, this is for the NROTC Marine Option Scholarship, in which the February (and last) board has been held.

The dates you gave apply to the ARMY ROTC Scholarship, in which the board will be in the beginning of March and the cutoff date for info is 28 Feb.

"You will be hearing soon about the scholarship selections."

Just received those great words in an email last night from an NROTC Marine Officer Instructor. Let's keep patient!

By what method will we find out? Phone call? Email? Postal mail? Web site?

The NROTC Web site says "Application has been submitted online--Your application is at your local Recruiter for initial processing."

I know my recruiter has sent my app to the Board, so I know it's past the "initial processing" stage. Can I depend on the Web site for up-to-date status?

I'm with you guys. Submitted the app in September and waiting for this board. Online status shows that the application is at the MC district for board selection. Would the online status change before any notification via email/letter? Has anyone talked to their recruiters about it?

I tried to call my Officer Selection Officer today, but only got voicemail. If he doesn't call back in 2-3 days, I'll try again.

I was told by my OSO on Monday that the results are done and at a base, but haven't been released to them yet. He said that it can be any day now that he'll get the email, but he estimated within the next two weeks that they'll be released.

Good luck!

Any idea if this might apply to Navy Option applicants as well?
Thanks.

Marine Option boards are totally separate from Navy boards. Navy has more boards (though with more applicants I believe) and also hold them at different times, locations, etc.

I just got an email from my OSO today saying he can't release the results yet until the board is "certified". Does anyone know exactly what this means?

Not sure what that means exactly. I was doing some research, reading some old nrotc mo threads from this site and it seems like 15 march is the date a lot of people have heard back in past years. I don't know if that will be the case this year so it's just an assumption. I'm waiting for Thursday!

It is Thursday! It is also nearing the end of the timeframe window that my OSO gave me of when results could be released. It's really great to know that OSO's have them. Here's hoping for notification before the weekend!

I came to the same conclusion. It seems that historically, Thursday or Friday of the week of March 15 has been a common notification window for both Navy and Marine option scholarships. I guess we'll have to see if that pattern holds up.
