How many cadets will be admitted to USMAPS for the Class of 2016? Does the new facility house more than before and is it complete? Are these cadets all offered appointments to USMA the following year? Do they have to re-apply and get another nomination? What does the academic ciricullum consist of? Do they attend the same 'Beast" as those appointed to USMA? Is it 2 or 4 weeks?

Any info would be appreciated-Thanks!

I can't answer the questions specific to MAPS, but usually if you successfully complete the program and don't have any conduct/honor offenses, you should be good to go on to USMA. Note: If you're admitted beginning this summer, you would be in the MAPS class of 2013 and the USMA class of 2017 (not 2016 like was in your post). Not ALL are offered appointments. You still have to prove that you deserve it, you just have a good shot. If MAPS is like NAPS, summer "indoc" (not sure what it's called for MAPS), it will only be 3 weeks long instead of the typical 6 for direct appointees.

Yes, nominations will need to be reapplied for since they are only good for one year. Other info about curriculum, housing, etc., someone else will have to answer.

The new USMAPS facility is completed and is beautiful! This year's class had approximately 240 when CCBT started. CCBT (Cadet Candidate Basic Training) last summer was 3 weeks long
This year the curriculum consisted of Math, English, a Student Development Course. All CC's have PE or athletics every day and there is also military instruction. In January all CCs took the SAT and ACT again. They also updated certain components of their application via their portal.
Appointments to WP are issued starting in February. To date, there have been two rounds of appointments to a total of about 50 CCs.
I hope this helps!

Am I understanding you correctly.... so far 50 of the 240+ members of USMAPS class have been offered appointments to Class of 2016?

RockyB - the appointments have been coming out a bit at a time at the prep school. There was another wave this week bringing the number up to about 100. We figure the admissions team is very busy and getting them done as they can.

ESMWilson - Sounds reasonable, as I'm guessing the final semseter grades likely play a factor for some.
