Friday's INDOC Parade & other info

The KP Coordinator of the Parents' Associations writes:

This Friday afternoon, 25 July 2008, at 1600 hours the annual Indoctrination Parade will take place on Tomb Field. All hands and parents are invited and encouraged to attend. Please, if you can, come out in support of the Class of 2012 recognizing the great strides they have made during the last two weeks toward becoming Midshipmen at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. The parade will be broadcasted and as soon as I have the URL address, I will send it on to you.



We expect DOIT will be distributing the plebe laptops this Wednesday evening. Also, the Catholic Mass time for Sundays is now back to 10:00 AM and the first Sunday of August parents can sit with their plebes. Please share this with your members. Thanks.

INDOC parade webcast

Do you know if there is someplace we can view the parade, after the fact? My wife and kids weren't able to watch it live?

Unfortunately I do not believe they keep a recording of it. It may be possible that somebody around recorded it on their computer somehow, but I wouldn't hold out much hope. I wouldn't worry about missing it too much, just make it to Acceptance Day if at all possible and you will see a much better parade.

The Kings Point family comes through once again. I'm amazed at the stuff that happens to midshipmen/families when one finds out a Kings Point connection.

Thanks you all. We will be at acceptance day and look forward to it. I'm also anxious to get some more correspondance from that plebe candidate of ours!! :smile:
