Hi, I am from NJ-09 and today i got my TWE from USNA saying i got wait listed. and it says about 70 to 120 got waitlisted every year.

So, does that means people who got wait listed still have good chances to get in? Or is it less likely to get in?

Were you wait listed for USNA or NAPS? I feel you still have a strong chance of getting in since most people who get into service academies also have other great opportunities, which some do take.

Oh, in that case there would be a slightly lower chance of getting in since fewer letters of appointment are sent out for NAPS. I would believe there is still a pretty high chance depending where you are on the list, because that extra year of work might turn people off. I am still debating on wether I should take my appointment to NAPS because I do have other service academy options it is just Navy is where my heart lies at this moment.
-What are your other options at this point?

wannabe,
I too got wait listed for NAPS. Not sure what I'll do at this point if I get pulled from the list. I have been accepted to UNC-Chapel Hill, Virginia Tech and The Citadel. I really want a military college experience. My brother is at The Citadel and I have really liked what i've seen there. I think it will be hard to get off the wait list but not everyone is up for an entire extra year. I'm sure you read that we may wait as late as mid July for an answer which is pretty late in the game. I guess you just have to decide how much you want it. Good-luck to you!

My DS just got notice of NAPS Wait List as well. Any idea how many total are in a class per year at NAPS?

I recently got a letter saying that I got waitlisted to NAPS..
Does anyone know when I should be hearing back?

I'll be attending NAPS starting this July. When I was accepted, the acceptance paperwork was required to be received no later than May 1. Those waitlisted should start hearing in early to mid May I would think, based on the number of people that turn down NAPS.
