What should I bring with me on my person to the overnight visit?

Will I need my own toiletries, another set of clothing, any emergency money, etc?

What should I expect to encounter when I actually arrive?

What type of gift would be appropriate for the cadet that I will shadow?

Will I have an opportunity to shower in the morning?

You should have received answers to your questions when you selected the date of your visit. I know my cadet knew what time to arrive and what to bring. Have actually made your request for your overnight visit?

I scheduled my visit over two weeks ago, and it states on my log that the visit has been scheduled successfully, but I never received anything: not an email or even directions from the website after I picked my date.

Was I supposed to have gotten something?

You should/will receive an email with confirmation and information on what to bring. "Trust but verify" as you may have learned through admissions process...call main USMA Admissions number to confirm...(845) 938-5760...I believe Mr. Doyle is very helpful!

Bring anything you would bring if you were going to stay at a friend's house. You will not be given toothpaste or anything like that so please bring hygene products. Also bring a set of clothes to work out in and a light jacket (it's been hot these past few days but today was a little chilly so it could vary). You don't have to worry about pillows/sheets as they will be provided for you.

Anything edible will be appreciated by your host. Homemade items seem to be pretty popular as well but trust me they will be thankful no matter what it is.

You will be able to shower in the mornings if you are willing to wake up early enough to do so (around 6am) and at night if you wish as well.
